IDC MarketScape vendor analysis model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of ICT suppliers in a given market. The research methodology utilizes a rigorous scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical illustration of each vendor’s position within a given market. The Capabilities score measures vendor product, go-to-market and business execution in the short-term. The Strategy score measures alignment of vendor strategies with customer requirements in a 3-5-year timeframe. Vendor market share is represented by the size of the icons.

“Clinical and financial analytics are now critical to the future success of healthcare organizations of all types, particularly in the context of value-based care,” writes IDC analyst Cynthia Burghard, with Arcadia a leader among the vendors offering organizations the ability to “quickly improve organizational flexibility and gain access to top-shelf technology.”

Burghard noted that Arcadia had “repeatedly developed capabilities one step ahead of competitors in the healthcare IT services market”, citing Arcadia’s early support for ambulatory care providers, partnerships with healthcare organizations that were pioneers in value based care, and investment in developing a cloud-based technology platform, Arcadia Analytics. “Investors have likely invested in the company because they were impressed by Arcadia’s strategic foresight and ability to execute complex IT systems integrations projects in the chaotic environments that characterize new business models,” she wrote.

Arcadia has attracted high-profile investors including Merck Global Health Innovation Fund (“Merck GHI”), GE Ventures, Peloton Equity, Zaffre Investments, and Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners. A rapid growth trajectory fuels Arcadia’s ongoing investments in platform development. New capabilities and proprietary integration technology will continue to drive clinical and financial outcomes for providers and health plans transitioning to value-based care.

“This recognition from the IDC MarketScape validates our strategy of building an analytics platform that can support highly complex healthcare enterprises,” said Arcadia chief executive officer Sean Carroll. “As value based care contracts increase in size and scope, it becomes increasingly important for health plans, ambulatory providers, hospitals, and other healthcare organizations to collaborate using a shared, secure, and scalable foundation of aggregated data.”

Arcadia’s proprietary, cloud-based data aggregation technologies allow even large, national healthcare organizations with dozens of EHR instances to work together effectively on population health management goals and to form effective partnerships with health plans. Arcadia customers will get an in-depth look at Arcadia’s newest Big Data capabilities at Aggregate2018, Arcadia’s second annual industry conference April 18-20 in Boston.
